Pia d'Hautefeuille is a painter born in 2001, living and working in Paris. Her work with oil and mixed media explores the tensions between the body, identity, and foundational myths through symbolic painting.
Her compositions feature figures in a state of transition, caught between presence and erasure, suspended in nocturnal spaces with no spatio-temporal boundaries.
Her universe blends human presence, dreamlike fragments, and intimate symbols in a quest for psychological and poetic depth. Through painting, Pia examines the links between vulnerability, desire, spirituality, and reconstruction.
Color and material play an essential role in my practice, which is why I chose to work with François. For me, Schaal oil paint clearly stands out due to the exceptional quality of its pigments, its creamy texture, and the transparency of its composition. In particular, the Cobalt and Ultramarine blues, the Transparent red oxide, and the range of greens have become essential in my palette. After testing several colors on the market, Schaal oil paint offers me a rare intensity and an unparalleled application on the canvas.
