La Sienne naturelle française est une terre naturelle inorganique, broyée dans un mélange d'huile de lin et d'huile de noix. Ce pigment offre une nuance chaude, terreuse, avec une teinte brun-jaune douce et subtile, idéale pour les tons de fond et les sous-couches. Ses origines remontent au 17e siècle et c'est l'un des oxydes de fer terrestres les plus essentiels. La meilleure qualité provient du centre de l'Italie.
