Le Noir d'Ivoire est une couleur de terre naturelle organique, constituée de carbone impur et amorphe mélangé avec du phosphate de calcium. Actuellement, il est fabriqué à partir d'os d'animaux carbonisés plutôt que de débris d'ivoire brûlés. Sa teinte est plus dense et plus froide comparée au noir de lampe, offrant un pouvoir colorant supérieur. Il est réputé pour être le plus profond des noirs, idéal pour des nuances intenses et des ombres profondes.
