Made from zinc sulphide and barium sulphate (PW5), it sits between titanium and zinc in opacity — slightly cool in tone and genuinely sympathetic to mix with. It raises value without overwhelming the parent hue, which makes it invaluable for nuanced tints and passages where titanium would simply take over.
