Once worth more than gold, now the most universally indispensable blue on the palette. PB29 (sodium aluminium sulfosilicate), warm, deeply transparent and non-toxic. It is notoriously difficult to grind; I stabilise it with a trace of beeswax to deliver a smooth, flowing consistency. It produces magnificent violets, rich chromatic greens and refined neutral greys.

Autrefois plus précieux que l'or, aujourd'hui le bleu le plus indispensable de la palette. PB29 (sulfosilicate de sodium et d'aluminium), chaud, profondément transparent et non toxique. Il est notoirement difficile à broyer ; je le stabilise avec une trace de cire d'abeille pour obtenir une consistance lisse et fluide. Il produit des violets magnifiques, des verts chromatiques riches et des gris neutres raffinés.
